The Arthouse Shed
Arthouse Building Company has created a purpose-built design workshop fondly known as “The Shed” where custom-made cabinetry, fixtures, and fittings are built in-house to complete our clients’ dream projects.
This is a family shed built by us, on our family property. Four generations have resided at ‘’Rainbows End” in the picturesque Samford Valley since 1975. It really is a treasure of a place and we love it!
The building is much more than a shed, as you can see. It features beautiful views from every recycled and re-claimed timber window and is lit by light fittings reclaimed from the Old Queensland Museum. It has a composting toilet, is solar-powered and uses solely tank water. It has its own vegie/herb garden and orchard, with a native tree nursery further down the property. “The Shed” is a place where people create and work together and grandchildren can visit and see things being made with care and attention to detail.
The family and community engagement aspect of “The Shed” is something we always envisaged. Dreams can become a reality!
